Case Study:
McDonalds will be trialing a "self-serve kiosk" at their domestic Airport site at Mascot. See a Youtube video to see the machine

You have been asked as an "outside contractor" to develop a project plan for the trial. The trial includes:
Stage 1:
· Installation of the "kiosk" machine at the Airport branch
· Testing of the kiosk
· Training of the staff on the use of the kiosk and also how to assist customers on how to use it.
Stage 2:
· Monitoring the progress over the next 6 months ie reaction of customers and monitoring cost & time savings
The "kiosk" is ready to go & the software is already loaded. The installation phase of the project needs to be completed prior to 1/11/2014, which is the launch date.
The installation contractor needs a total of 8hrs to install & test ready for operation. (hrly rates are $120 per hour). The cost of the kiosk is $2,800. The installer will connect it directly to the existing order system that the counter machines use.
You will be reporting directly to the General Manager who is the SPONSOR of the project and who oversees the operation of this branch.
