The "Web Resources Assignment" (WRA) is a mini project to showcase your learnings, application of the concepts / topics studied in the course and engagement with the course content. For this assignment, you will research and identify resources (sources of information) which exemplify the application of any of the following concepts in conjunction with two topics as listed on this page to write succinct synopses on two cases. Topics: Artificial Intelligence Blockchain Cloud Computing Concepts: Network effects Information security Privacy Competitive advantage Porter's Five Forces Ethics Resource based view of competitive advantage Digital divide Like for example - you may identify resources on a case about a company ABC which used Topic 1 to develop a position of competitive advantage based on the resource based perspective (Concept 7 and Concept 4).

This is just a hypothetical example to demonstrate the meanings of a "case", "topic" and "concept". The concepts used in conjunction with the two topics must be different and mutually exclusive. That is, if in one case you study Concept 1 in conjunction with Topic 1, you cannot again use Concept 1 in conjunction with another topic for the second case. Videos and podcasts are not acceptable resources for this assignment

You have to write a succinct synopsis (not more than 400 words) for each case. (Note: This word count does not include references)

The synopsis must not be over 400 words long or too short of 400 words, there will be deductions otherwise (so aim between 390 to 400 words). You must be able to articulate the most important points succinctly.

The synopsis must explain how an information systems perspective contributes towards the understanding of that particular case. Note: Information systems perspective implies this holistic point of view considering all the dimensions namely technology (hardware, software, data), people and process.

For each case, you must identify and apply 3 or 4 resources.

Each synopsis must include citations and references for each of the 3-4 resources identified and applied for each case.
