Question: As a nursing student in a mental health course, you have been invited to attend a local Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meeting and help lead the group therapy session. You have educated yourself on the 12-Step program used in AA, and as a nursing student, want to implement what you have learned about group therapy in the session. The AA leader has asked you to put together an outline of how you would like to lead the session so that you can review it together. The leader lets you know that they anticipate 1 or 2 new individuals to join who are just starting in their journey of sobriety; the rest of the members have been sober from 6 months to 25 years.

Using the Positive Psychology Group Therapy information and strategies, develop a nurse led group therapy session for the clients provided in the scenario. Provide the outline below and include any notes for yourself to remind you of any principles, point of conversation, or other tips that would remind you of developing the relationship with the clients attending this session.
