Question: Review your own service's current policy or develop a new policy and procedure for "Promoting team member accountability for personal work and team tasks and resolving issues which occur in the workplace". You can use your centre's policies, or the template provided by ACECQA as shown in the learning guide. Ensure that your policy covers the following: • All parts of a standard policy (see learning guide); •Requirements for individual team member's accountability for personal work; • Requirements for team members who are accountable for team tasks; •Communication styles expected; • Open communication processes which will be available to all staff; •Outline what will happen if staff choose not to follow the policy such as an Individual Performance Management Plan, or Individual Performance Improvement Plan (PIP); Identify line management within the policy for communication about any issues; Identify how unresolved issues, concerns and problems raised by stakeholders will be handled; and Links to legislation and additional policies.
