Performance appraisal is meant to summarize and evaluate the overall performance of employees during a specific timeline and it serves as an objective avenue for supervisors and employees to give feedback to justify compensation movements, training opportunities, and staff career development opportunities, areas for improvement, bonuses, or termination decisions. This assignment is intended to guide students in designing an effective performance appraisal form as a tool to collect information as well as to measure and benchmark the performance of employees.

A. TASK:

a. Each student is required to choose a position in a company of choice and develop a Job Description for the position.

b. Based on the Job Description, student is then required to propose/design a performance appraisal/review form for the purpose of employee performance evaluation.

c. The content, design and requirements of the proposed performance appraisal/review form are based on Chapter 6 of the main text which should include basic components of appraisal forms, desirable features, rating strategies and other relevant content as deemed necessary.

d. A write up to further elaborate the proposed performance appraisal/review form should also be provided.
