Technical skills

Leadership skills

You will address the above skills in the components of the job description - specifically under essential and peripheral functions, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other qualifications in your job description.

Your Job Description should include:

Job Summary (summarizes the essence of the job)

Essential Functions (these are the critical responsibilities of the job; they cannot be completed by anyone else but the person who has this job.)

Peripheral Functions (these are responsibilities of the job but can be completed by someone else. Example: a elementary school teacher will make photocopies but someone else can make those photocopies for the position. Peripheral functions are a required component for job descriptions to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements).
