Project Title: Walmart Sales Forecast System

Background: Walmart has always been one of the best retailers in the world, with more than 245 million customers visiting 10,900 stores and with 10 active websites across the globe. Walmart is definitely a name to reckon with in the retail sector. E-commerce & Retail use big data and data science to optimize business processes and for profitable decision making. Various tasks like predicting sales, offering product recommendations to customers, inventory management etc. are elegantly managed with the use of data science techniques.

Objectives: Develop a forecasting system that predicts future sales across various departments within different Walmart outlets. The challenging aspect of this project is to forecast the sales on major holidays - Labor Day, Christmas, Thanksgiving and Super Bowl. The selected holiday markdown events are the ones when Walmart makes the highest sales and by forecasting sales for these events, they want to ensure that there is sufficient product supply to meet the demand.

Deliverables -

1. Forecast Walmart store sales across various departments using the historical Walmart dataset.

2. Predict which departments are affected, with the holiday markdown events and the extent of the impact.

Note - It's a project about Walmart sales forecast system. Just need a requirement analysis. And a small website to be able to display the dataset or database of the sales prediction Future prediction. Also need to note down the language used. The first is requirement analysis.

I need to make links on a simple website to browse this data. Use can click on stores or department and choose the date to display the difference predictions of the data. If I choose from a calendar it will tell me if the sales happen during holiday season. There are four markdown on the assignment. It should be showing the difference from the whole four markdown and predict the sales. PHP language and the dataset is available on kaggle. Can you make sure that you leave a comment on each code written please, explaining what it does.
