I need help with data warehousing and business intelligence course project about designing a data warehouse for a jewelry company that does not have one
Capstone in Business Intelligence.
This capstone project requires students to employ the knowledge and skills assimilated in the prerequisite courses to design and develop a business intelligence application that leads to direct and measurable value for an organization.
Prerequisites
Capstone Project Objectives and Deliverables
• Submit a project proposal in Blackboard. It is worth ‘5' points and must be submitted for approval before beginning your project.
• Design a data warehouse/business intelligence solution to fulfill the project requirements of a fictitious or real company.
• Identify potential design, development, and administration issues. Suggest resolutions and solutions.
• Design:
o Entity Relationship Diagram
o Data Flow Diagram
o a data warehouse database
o Analytic Reports - at least one tabular and two graphics
• Your Analytic Reports should be useful with the data warehouse designed. In addition, the reports should include both tabular and graphic format. Describe the benefits of each report designed to the people who will be using your project.
Create a final project paper that will incorporate all of your research, diagrams, and reports. The paper should be in Word format. Use copy and paste to include all of your information into the paper from other software. Students may choose to use their own software to complete the diagrams and reports.
General Requirements for All Project Submissions
1. Cover sheet with student name, username, date, and title of project;
2. Number pages in upper right corner; no running heads;
3. Double space narrative; use Times New Roman, Calibri or Arial - 12 points;
4. Paper must include an:
• Abstract (A synopsis of the entire paper - no citations!)
• Introduction (Tell the reader what to expect.)
• Body of the Paper (The body may be divided into sections.)
• Conclusion (Pull the project together.)
• Appendices (Optional - items may be included in body of paper).
• References (Optional).
5. Section headings and margins should be left aligned and bold;
6. Word count for each paper should be 2,500-4,000.
7. Use APA style for citations, references, tables and figures.
8. Do not rely on the technology to check your spelling, punctuation or sentence structure. Desk check your paper before submitting work.
9. Submit papers as Word attachments to Blackboard.
10. Papers should have a Table of Contents.
11. Paragraphs must have at least two sentences.
12. Submit as Word attachment to Blackboard.
