Assessment 1: Research question and rationale
You MUST complete the below two (2) sets of tasks, once for each issue.
1. Research Question 1
1.1. Define your area of practice and explain how it may be supported by research
1.2. Evaluate trends in your area of practice
1.3. Establish and define research objectives to respond to discovered trends
1.3.1. Develop a brief plan as to how you would investigate this further if given the opportunity
1.3.2. Identify research that supports and improves your area of practice through a brief literature search.
1.3.3. State the justification for each of your sources as to why you feel they are credible
1.3.4. Outline how you would establish a "duty of care" for undertaking this research should it eventuate
2. Research Question 2
2.1. Define your area of practice and explain how it may be supported by research
2.2. Evaluate trends in your area of practice
2.3. Establish and define research objectives to respond to discovered trends

Assessment 2 - Literature Review
Research Question 1
The review should include:
• Introduction:
• Explain the focus of the study.
• What benefit will the findings bring to your practice?
• Compare two (2) different sources of information (databases/journals etc) and outline two (2) reasons why you have made your selections
• Discussion:
• Present the literature review in an organised format, using consistent ideas, themes or other relevant groupings.
• Discuss how your findings could be implemented (behavior change, awareness, further research)
• Which of the above options would be most effective and why
• What is the feasibility of implementing the findings you have discovered in response to your research objective
• Method
• Briefly describe your method for gathering and evaluating your information, including priority of information
• Outline how your research objectives and context of work have impacted your information gathering process
• How have you evaluated the strength, relevance, reliability and currency of the research (making reference to your field of work)
• Outline two (2) benefits and two (2) risks for each
• Explain how each of the methods, comparing, contrasting, challenging could be used in the analysis of your findings
• Summary: Summarise the overall findings.
• References: Ensure that the sources are referenced accurately as per the Harvard referencing system.
