You are a line-level worker at a manufacturing plant.  You were hired because you have had a long friendship with the plant manager. You and the manager go to play golf on a weekly basis.  During your most recent golf game, you decide to discuss with him what you perceive to be some ongoing problems on the production floor hoping that if you mention it he will talk to your immediate supervisor and something will be done about the situation.  You are concerned about the problems because if they are not fixed it could potentially impact the size of your and fellow team members' year-end bonuses. You really need near the optimum bonus to be able to get some things done on your home so you decide to discuss the problems with him.  He is taken aback saying that he did not realize the problems existed as you described them.  He says that he had noticed that there had been some production issues but that your immediate supervisor had told him he was working on them and was supposed to present a detailed Six Sigma-like plan to cut down waste and errors and increase production.  He abruptly changes the subject but seems preoccupied the rest of the remaining six holes.

Please write an APA paper at least three pages APA style discussing what if anything the worker did wrong in broaching this subject. If you think he did nothing wrong then explain why you think so. Also, explain what the plant manager might have done wrong if anything and if you think he did nothing wrong also explain why you think so.

Detail what management principle this scenario alludes to and discuss fully what that principle is and why it is so important in organizations.
