Modeling Wind Speed

Wind speeds are usually measured at heights from 5 to 10 meters above the ground. For a particular day, f(x) = 1.4 ln (x) + 7 computes the wind speed in meters per second x meters above the ground, where x ≥ 1.

(a) Find the wind speed at a height of 8 meters.

(b) Estimate the height at which the wind speed is 10 meters per second.
