Module 2 or Chapter 2: In this assignment, you will develop a way to review world events in such a way that you get "the whole picture."

1. Either alone or with a team, choose a topic of global interest (e.g., oil production and sales) and/or a country/region of the world that you are interested in.

2. Thoroughly investigate various news, media, and other information sources available to you on the Internet, on television, through the movies, etc.

3. Critique several of the media sources you have identified using the following questions:

A. Whose perspective is most prominently portrayed?

B. What biases are evident? Why do you think they exist?

C. What information is missing? Why do you think it is missing?

4. Based on your research, identify a set of at least three sources of information that, if reviewed regularly, will provide a full and balanced portrayal of the topic/issue.
