Q1) Jims systolic blood pressure is random variable with mean of 145 mmHg and standard deviation of 20mmHg. For Jims group, 140 is cut off for high blood pressure. If Jims systolic blood pressure is taken at randomly chosen moment, determine the probability that it will be,

a) 135 or less?

b) 175 or more?

c) between 125 and 165

i) Serum level of 1,25 dihydroxyvitamin D in adolescent girls is believed to be normally distributed with mean of 65 pg/ml and standard deviation of 12.5 pg/ml. What percentage of adolescent girls will have level lower than 65 pg/ml? What percentage of girls are higher than 75 pg/ml? What percent are between 40 pg/ml and 90 pg/ml? 

ii) Level of enzyme in urine among normal adults is approximately normally distributed with mean of 10.0 units/ml and standard deviation of 2.0 units/ml. If person is selected at random determine the probability that he/she has enzyme level less than 4.0 units/ml?

3) Provide the example from your clinical practice of clinical data which is approximately normally distributed.
