Question: Homeostatic regulation of blood pressure! Start by reading the figure legend at bottom left of page. At the top of the page, in pink, are different stimuli that cause blood pressure to decrease. At the bottom, in tan boxes, are the results from the physiological responses, in green boxes, to the stimuli, which cause blood pressure to rise.
You should think about each green box see if you can determine what will happen in each. Read flowchart from top to bottom for a stimulus and circle increase (up arrow) or decrease (down arrow) for that physiological response. Next look up this figure in your eText and complete/correct your entries in the green boxes. You will need to know the physiological responses to raise and lower blood pressure.
Look up the definition of ANP, where are the baroreceptors and chemoreceptors located, and where are the control centers (cardiac center and vasomotor center), and what does each control? Enter those answers right on the BP Regulation flowchart.
