A homogeneous chain (i.e., mass varies with the length), having a length L and mass m, is located on an inclined surface (angle), such that half of its length is hanging vertically. The friction factor between the chain and the surface is n. If you release the chain calculate:

a) the work of the friction force?

b) the velocity of the chain at the time the chain leaves the horizontal surface?
