Case Study: A military veteran has just undergone a mental health evaluation for exhibiting violent behaviors and was diagnosed with PTSD. Further testing is needed to confirm a TBI, but the veteran's pharmacy care doctor at a local hospital suspect there may be one present.
the veteran's executive functions are also showing signs of being significantly diminished and must require some help with paying bills, making and attending doctors' appointments. The veteran's 23-year-old son and 19-year-old daughter have agreed to take on the caregiving role jointly, but both work and attend school full-time. the care recipient does not want to share his medical information with his kids, Now CGS. This creates friction in the home. Aside from basic medical coverage, the veteran does not receive any services to help with his/her mental health conditions, nor the suspected TBI.
