A voltage source with voltage Vs = V0 sin(pi*t) is driving a load of RL = 100 Ohms. The load is connected to the source by a transmission line with characteristic impedance Z0 = 50 Ohms. The velocity of propagation on the line is 2 108 m/s. Frequency of the source is f =100 MHz. (20).The length of the line is 1 m.

(a) Find the electrical length of the line

(b) What is the phasor source voltage?  Write expressions for the voltage and current waves on the line. Determine all quantities appearing in your expressions.

(c) Calculate load voltage and current.

(d) Draw the voltage |V(z)? and current |I(z)| as functions of distance z along the line. Draw the graphs so that you can see similarities and/or contrasts between them. Compare and contrast the graphs
