A block of mass 2 kg is attached to a spring. The block/mass system is on a horizontal frictionless surface. The block is displaced 0.05m from equilibrium, and then the block is released. The block, after being released, is in simple harmonic motion with an angular frequency, 10 rad/sec.

a) What is the spring constant, k, of the spring?

b) What is the magnitude of the net force on the block before it is released?

c) What is the maximum velocity of the block?

d) What is the maximum acceleration of the block?

e) What is the velocity of the block when the displacement is half the amplitude?
