Question: An 8-kg box is pushed 10 m across a level floor by a constant 15.7-N applied force. The coefficient of kinetic friction between the box and the floor is 0.13.

Part I: Assuming the Box starts from rest, what is the final velocity of the box at the 10m point?

Part II: If there were no friction between the box and the floor what applied force would be required to give the box the same final velocity as the first calculation?
