A bicycle wheel has a diameter of 66 centimeter and a mass of 2.0 kilogram. Suppose the wheel has the characteristics of a hoop. A chain is driving the wheel over a 10.0 centimeter diameter sprocket that is attached to the wheel. If a resistive force of 100 Newton were applied tangent to the rim of the wheel, determine what force would be required on the chain to achieve an acceleration of 5.0 rad/s2?
