A string of linear density µ = 9.60 x 10-4 kg/m has a transverse wave on it described by the equation y = (6.00 cm) sin{(Ïpi/2) [(8.00 s-1) t + (2.00 m-1) x]}. Notice that the factor pi/2 applies to both terms in the square bracket.

(a) Determine the wave speed and the direction of wave.

(b) Find the distance between two adjacent nodes of the standing wave formed by this wave and the wave those results from its reflection.

(c) Determine the tension in the string.
