A horizontal pipe is 100 m long with a diameter of 0.6 m. the pipe carries a steady flow of water of 0.5 m^3/s. the gage pressure at the upstream end of the pipe is 200 kPa. the gage pressure at the downstream end of the pipe is 160 kPa. Determine the viscous force exerted by the pipe on the fluid and the average shear stress on the inside surface of the pipe. Assume that uniform flow exists in the pipe.
