A uniform electric field of 5.4 N/C is set up between two parallel plates such that the electric field is directed vertically downward and the field outside the plates is zero. The distance between the plates is 1.4 cm. An electron is projected into the uniform field between the two plates with a speed of 1.5 x 106 m/s. The electron enters the field at a point midway between the plates.
