Water is pumped from the tank 1 to tank 2 as shown below. The suction side pipe is nominal 4, schedule 40, 24 ft long, f = 0.018, and the discharge pipe is nominal 3 ½ , schedule 40, f = 0.019, and is 400 ft long. The entrance is square edged, and the elbows are 90o. There is a fully opened gate valve on the suction side and the discharge side, and there is a swing type check valve on the discharge side. Determine the system curve for the pump system.
