The goal of most online properties (Social Media Site, Blog, Website, etc.) is to get the intended audience to engage. This is achieved by enticing the audience to "do something".
The online property wants to get the customer (user) to go from upper funnel (engagement) to lower funnel (opt-in or purchase). These activities are known as "success events". Some examples of "success events" would include watching a video, downloading a "white paper", supplying your email address (opt-in), or submitting a lead form. The business (website) also consider these type of activities KPI (Key Performance Indicators) because they are getting the customer (user) to perform an activity / action that can help the business (website) to "further the discussion. The longer a business (website) can get you to engage - the closer they are to converting you (known as "conversion").
For this assignment, select an online property (Social Media Site, Blog, Website, etc.) you frequent. What is the "success event" that the online property is trying to get you to do? Was this attempt to get you to further engage ("do something") successful? If so, why or why not?
