An interconnect 60-Hz power system consist of one area with three turbine genrator units rated 1000,750,500 MVA respectively. The regulation constant of each unit is same R=0.05 per unit based on its own rating. Neglect the losses and the dependence of load upon frequency (D=0) Each unit initially opreating at 50% of its own rating. when the system load suddenly increases by 200 MW, determine (a) the steady state drop in area frequency (b) the increase in turbine mechenical output power of each unit. (c) If we want to move the system frequency back to 60Hz what kind of control can we use?
