The 14C atom undergoes an explosion and decays into a nucleus, an electron, and a neutrino. Momentum Is conserved in the process of explosion or decay. The data given show the velocity of the electron (mass = 9.11 e-31 kg), the momentum of the neutrino and the mass of the nucleus. From this determine the speed of the recoiling nucleus.
