1. A rigid tank that is initially evacuated is connected through a valve to a supply line that carries air at 200kPa and 120oC. Now the valve is opened and the air slowly flows into the tank until the pressure reaches 200kPa, at which point the valve is closed. Determine the specific flow work (eflow), total specific flow energy (emass, ignore ke and pe)) of the air in the supply line, and the final temperature in the tank.

2. An insulated piston-cylinder device initially contains 10kg saturated liquid water at 200kPa. Now water steam at 0.5MPa and 350oC enters the cylinder from a supply line until all the water in the tank in the saturated vapor phase. During the charging process, pressure in the cylinder remains at 200kPa. Determine: (i) the final temperature in the cylinder; (ii) the mass of the steam that has entered. Note KE and PE are negligible.
