Case: Consider the example if the blister packaging material shown in class. Assume steady-state stationary medium.

(a) Determine the solubility of the polymer material (kmol/m3-bar) if the temperature is 22 "C and the relative humidity inside the package is (I); = 0.1 and outside the package is (131 = 0.9.

(b) Determine the total water vapor transfer rate that will occur of a different packaging material is used which has a diffusivity that is 10% of its original value.

(c) Determine the water vapor transfer rate if a coating is applied to each side of the original polymer sheet and which reduces the solubility near both surfaces to 10% of the original value.
