Determine the side slopes (i.e. 1:3, etc.) of a suppressed (n=0) trapezoidal sharp crested weir with width B and upstream head H so that the discharge through it is the same as that through a rectangular sharp crested weir (taking into account the end contractions) of crest width B and upstream head H. Hint: model the trapezoidal weir as the sum of a rectangular weir (with two end contractions) and a triangular weir. Assume a constant Cd value.
