Question

When Mrs, Jarreau calls and explains her situation I would then screen her by asking additional questions such as her age, the period of time that has passed since the incident, and if she has an existing patient file with our office (Bayes and Blochowiak, 2022). I would also explain to her that our office has no available appointments for today. I would then determine the severity of her injury based off her answers to the screening and get her permission to speak with a nurse or physician. I would either offer to put her on hold, or have our office call her back as soon as possible. After discussing the situation, and receiving the chosen course of action from our medical staff, I would get back on the phone with Mrs.Jarreau and let her know how our office would like to proceed, possibly by making time to see her or advise her to go to an urgent care or emergency room to receive treatment.
