An iron ring with a 50-cm mean diameter has a square cross-section of 4 cm2. It is wound with two coils having 1000 and 400 turns. Calculate (a) the self inductance of each coil, and (b) the mutual inductance between them. Assume p, = 500. State all the assumptions.
