A coil of heavy open chain is used to reduce the stopping distance of a sled that has a mass M and travels at a speed of v0. Determine the required mass per unit length of the chain needed to slow down the sled to within a distance if the sled is hooked to the chain at x=0. Neglect friction between the chain and the ground.
