A rigid container has a total volume of 1 m, and it has one inlet pipe and two outlets. The container is half filled with water at this instant, and half filled with air. One outlet allows water to exit and the other allows air to exit. If air flows into the container at 1 atm and 20C and flows out at essentially the same state, and water flows out of the container at a rate of 1 L/min, determine the rate of mass storage inside the container. Now consider the same problem, except that heat is supplied continuously to the container, maintaining the contents at 40C.
