Cylindrical, steel bar stock (density = 7833 kg/m3, Cp = 0.465 kJ/(kg C)) of 10-cm diameter is heat-treated by drawing it at a velocity of 3 m/min through a 6-m-long furnace maintained at 900C. If the stock enters the furnace at 30C and leaves at 700C, determine the rate of heat transfer to the stock in the furnace.
