A town needs about 20 Megawatts of power and the transmission station is 10 kilometer away. The wires carrying the current are made of copper and have a radius of 1centimeter. (Resistivity of copper= 1.68 x 10^-8)

a.) Determine the power lost in the electrical lines if the voltage supplied to the town is 50,000 Volt?

b.) Could the electricity be transmitted at standard household voltage of 120 Volt?
