After reading the following brief case descriptions determination whether the person's anxiety is abnormal or considered normal. If you determine the anxiety is abnormal, assign the most likely DSM-5 diagnosis and include the diagnostic criteria you used to make the diagnosis. If you determine the anxiety is normal, support the conclusion with an explanation of why you determined this.

Case I - Mary Anne

Mary Anne is a healthy woman with no current medical conditions. She loves a good bargain and enjoys shopping at a near-by mall but recently decided that she will not go back there again. The last time Mary Anne was at the mall she was in one of her favorite stores when suddenly she felt her heart racing and she started gasping for breath. Then she started feeling nauseous and her hands began to shake uncontrollably. Mary Anne began to think she was going crazy. It felt like she was having a heart attack.

Case 2 - Bert

Bert, a college student, admits that he does not like speaking in front of the class. The last time he was assigned a project that included speaking in front of the other students he got really anxious. His anxiety motivated him to rehearse his presentation over and over again. By the way, he got an "A" on the project.
