A pressure cooker has a volume of 5 L and an operating temperature of 120 C. Initially, 99% of the mass is filled with liquid water and the rest with vapor. Heat is supplied at a rate of 1.5 kW. Determine (a) the operating pressure inside the cooker, (b) the mass of the pressure regulator that can be supported by a flow area of 10 mm2 (c) the time required for all the liquid to completely vaporize, and (d) the mass of steam remaining in the cooker at this time.
