Steam at 160 bar, 520 degrees Celsius, and with a mass flow rate of 250 kg/s enters a turbine operating at steady state with a velocity of 1 m/s. Twenty percent of the entering mass flow is extracted at 5 bar, 280 degrees Celsius, with a velocity of 5 m/s. The rest exits at another location with a pressure of 0.06 bar, a quality of 80%, and a velocity of 50 m/s. Determine the net power output developed by the turbine in MW, if the enthalpy of the remaining steam is 2084 kJ/kg.
