Being able to present a powerful presentation is an essential leadership skill. The success of any business strategy or initiative depends on the understanding and buy-in of all stakeholders. General managers secure that understanding and buy-in through carefully planned and implemented communications. This challenge is to develop a communication and culture plan, formatted in a presentation, to support your Project Charter's strategies and initiatives.
Develop a media-rich Microsoft PowerPoint presentation, with detailed speaker notes, to present to the Dollar Tree board and executive team. Ensure you:
A. Explain what has to happen to the organization's culture to integrate these 2 organizations to support your Project Charter strategies, initiatives, mission, and values. How are the 2 cultures similar and how are they different?
B. Recommend specific ways to use symbols, rites, ceremonies, and stories to drive the cultural integration of the 2 companies.
C. Determine the most important messages that should be designed to drive the culture change and business integration of the 2 companies.
D. Determine and analyze audiences for the key messages. What does each stakeholder group need to know, feel, and believe for the integration to succeed?
E. Determine the media/channel. For each audience, determine the media/channels to be used in the communication effort.
F. Recommend a timeline for communications. Plan for 3 to 5 messages for each stakeholder group.
