A 2D simple frame consists of two bars AB and BC that are pin-connected at B. The frame is pivoted at A and the free end C is placed on a horizontal platform at C. The contact between the frame and the platform is rough and the static friction coefficient between them is μs. A vertical load of P=5kN is applied in the middle of AB. a=2m.

Q1. Find the support reaction forces at the pivoted support A and the friction force at C in terms of P if frame ABC is in static equilibrium at the shown position.

Q2. Draw the normal force, shear force, ad bending moment diagrams of member AB, respectively

Q3. Draw the normal force, shear force, ad bending moment diagrams of member BC

Q4. Determine the minimum value of the static friction coefficient such that the frame remains in static equilibrium.
