Hemispherical end caps are welded to a cylindrical body to form a propane storage tank. The tank has an inside diamater of 100 cm and will be subjected to a maximum internal pressure of 820 kPa. The allowable tensile stress in the wall is 83 MPa, and the allowable tensile stress in the weld is 55 MPa.
