An adiabatic compressor is operating at steady state. The compressor takes in Oxygen flowing at 10 m3/s at a temperature of 300 K and a pressure of 101.3 kPa. The oxygen exits the compressor with a pressure of 1000 kPa.

a. Determine the minimum temperature at state 2 and the corresponding minimum power input required by the compressor.

b. Find the rate of entropy generation if the final temperature is 580 K.
