An automobile of weight W that has a wheel base of lenght L during fourwheel braking. The center of gravity is a distance c forward of the rear axle and a distance of h above the ground. The coefficient of friction between the pavement and the tires is μ. Assume the car is is towing a one axle trailer of weight Wt. Determine the minimum stopping distance for the automobile and trailer assuming a) no braking on the trailer and b) full braking on the trailer. What is the minimum stopping distance for the automobile if it is not towing a trailer?
