The study's results indicated that student's grades suffered because they choose to engage in certain entertainments such as video games or watching the television over their schoolwork however, the article seems to contradict itself. According to Kelland 2015, "The scientists said further research was needed to confirm the effect conclusively, but advised parents worried about their children's grades to consider limiting screen time". If scientists cannot exactly link student's academic failure to their means of entertainment, then surely video games, television, or their computers cannot be the only factors. Additionally, there is no measure of deviation to see how spread out the data is. Furthermore, Kelland does not quote or cite any sources to back up her claims and provide evidence nor does she reference them.
