A hypothertical 30 cm long arm. For the purposes of answering this question assume that the arm itself is weightless. if the muscle attached to the arm can contract at a rate of 7.0cm/s with a force of 10 kN then:

a) what is the maximum mass that can be held in the hand if the muscle is attached 2 cm from the bleow?

b) what is the maximum mass that can be held in the hand if the muscle is attached 3 cm form the bleow?

Now account for the 3 kg mass the arm. The center of the mass of the arm is 10 cm from the bleow.

a) what is the maximum mass that can be held in the hand if the muscle is attached 2 cm from the bleow?

b)what is the maximum mass that can be held in the hand if the muscle is attached 3 cm form the bleow?
