It is to be used for the outer ring of a press-fit assembly with a mating shaft made of the same metal. The nominal inside diameter of the ring is 1.000 in and its outside diameter = 2.500 in. Using a safety factor = 2.0, determine the maximum interference that should be used with this assembly.
