A fisherman wants to know the mass of a trout he just caught but does not have scales. Instead he ties a rope at the 50.0 cm mark of a meter stick to suspend it. (He keeps a meter stick in the truck just for measuring fish! Ha!) He then hangs his water jug which he knows has a mass of 0.600 kg at the 20.0 cm mark of the meter stick. He balances the stick by hanging his fish at the 65.0 cm mark. What is the mass of the fish? HINT - you know the position of the center of mass (the balance point).
