Two separate strings are attached to a spherical bob having a mass of 300 grams and to a central vertical rod, as shown in the side view below. The central rod is turned such that the revolving bob travels with a constant speed in an horizontal circle having a radius of 10 cm. While the system is rotating, the strings each make an angle of 30o with the horizontal, with one string above horizontal and the other below. If the period of revolution of the bob is 0.30 seconds, determine the magnitude of the tension in each string. That is, compute FT1 and FT2.
