Assume you are studying 3 traits in tropical fish: black and white striped pattern is completely dominant to solid color. For eye color, brown eyes are dominant to hazel eyes. In fins, ventral fin is dominant to no fin. A cross is performed between a homozygous solid color, brown eye, ventral fin female and a homozygous black-white striped, hazel eye, and no fin male. Next, you take one of the male F1 offspring and testcross it. The results of this testcross are shown below.

Determine the linkage pattern of these genes and the distance between the linked genes.
Phenotype Observed Number
black-white, brown, ventral 12
black-white, brown, no ventral fin 100
black-white, hazel, ventral 10
black-white, hazel, no ventral fin 103
solid, brown, ventral 101
solid, brown, no ventral fin 16
solid, hazel, ventral 104
solid, hazel, no ventral fin 14
